Dragonflies in my paintings symbolize the courage to embrace new beginnings, the openness to welcome good fortune into our lives and the insight to see the quiet strength found in fragile things. They move with a presence that reminds us to live in the moment—to notice the brief, shimmering instants we often overlook.
Their transformation from water to air mirrors the discomfort and uncertainty that often accompany growth. Yet the dragonfly’s emergence also reflects the beauty and strength that can follow pain, grief and transition. By including them in my work, I invite viewers to recognize their own resilience and the possibility of lightness, renewal, and grace within change
